The registry is ordered by member number. The lower your number, the earlier you joined. Member numbers never change and are never reused. SSBBSS-I-00001 will always be the first member. Founding Members who join without an existing account receive numbers in the 1–100 range. Members who already hold a rank and upgrade to Founding keep their existing number — the low number is reserved for those who committed early. This is a permanent historical record.

Yes. Founding Membership unlocks all four exam slots at no additional cost, but the exams must still be sat and passed to advance in rank. New accounts receive Initiate rank on payment. If you already hold a rank, you keep it — Founding Membership unlocks any remaining exam slots above your current rank. To become an Operator, Adept, or Master you must earn it.

Standard (non-founding) members pay an annual membership fee to maintain their standing in the Society after certification. Founding Members pay once and are exempt from all future fees, permanently. If the annual fee ever increases, Founding Members are unaffected.

Physical certificates are issued when you achieve your first rank. For Founding Members who enter as Initiates, your certificate is issued immediately. If you advance in rank, a new certificate reflecting your highest rank will be issued. Shipping is included.

The Founding cohort closes permanently. No exceptions, no waiting list. After that, new members join through the standard certification path. The Founding Member badge will never appear on a non-founding profile.
